Grade 1001, our lowest carbon steel, comes in various forms, custom to your specifications.
Grade U Thin Plate, "U"
Induction Iron's grade U is an extremely low carbon thin plate. Standard size rectangular 1-8" and down X 1/16th inch thick.
Grade X-1 Block
Grade X1 heavy block has the same extremely low carbon and low manganese as Grade U and UCP. The standard size is 4” X 5” X 8” but can also be supplied in smaller blocks (for e.g. 2" X 3" X 4").
Grade U Cut Plate "UCP"
Induction Iron's grade UCP is an extremely low carbon thick plate. Standard size is 5" X 5" X 1/8th- 1/4th inch thick.
Grade X-1 Ingot
Grade X1 ingot is an extremely low carbon steel. Grade X1 ingots are available in various large sizes 8-10" thick with widths and lengths as ordered (up to 40 inches or more). Typical size is 8"x 10"x 32". The X1 ingots can also be supplied with lifting lugs welded on to facilitate charging into furnaces.
1001 High Purity
Grade 1001-HP is an ultra high purity steel that has ultra low levels of aluminum and titanium as well as carbon, manganese, phosphorous and sulfur. It's standard size is 3" X 3" X 10" billet but can also be cut to any size specification the customer desires.
