GRADE 1006 LOW CARBON IRON
Grade 1006 is an excellent source of iron units for the production of plain and low carbon alloy steels, iron and stainless steels. Grade 1006 comes in tow forms, 1006 punchings and X-6 Block.
Grade 1006 Punchings
Induction Iron's washed grade 1006 iron punchings are an excellent melt stock for mutliple applications. The typical carbon content is 0.03-0.06. Sizes are typically 4 inches and down X 3/16th inches.
Grade X-6 Block
Induction Iron's washed 1006, X-6 iron block has the same chemistry as the 1006 punchings but in block format. Sizes are typically 4" X 5" X 8".
