Induction Iron's washed X-6 Block is an excellent source of iron units for the production of plain and low carbon alloy steels, iron, and stainless steels. All of our X0-6 blocks are washed and dried resulting in material that is free of any oil and contamination resulting in less smoke when melting and reduced inclusions and porosity in the resulting castings. The chemistry of our X-6 Block is guaranteed to be within our published specification.
